Events and meetings

The ILO Decent Work Technical Support Team and Country Office for India (DWT/CO-New Delhi) organizes and takes part in a number of events and meetings in the sub-region. Below is a list of upcoming and past events. Any queries should be sent to the office by email.

  1. 17th Asia and the Pacific Regional Meeting

    6 - 9 December 2022

    The 17th Asia and the Pacific Regional Meeting (APRM) of the International Labour Organization (ILO), will be held from 6 to 9 December 2022 in Singapore. It brings together government ministers, representatives of workers' and employers' organizations, and academics from Asia, the Pacific and the Gulf and Arab states.

  2. Knowledge building on productivity management in food processing sector and sustainable integration in global supply chain

    22 April 2022

    A workshop organized by ILO Promoting Sustainable Enterprises in India (PSEI) project in collaboration with the State Government of Odisha and Andhra Pradesh, to build knowledge of food processing enterprises in the two states, on responsible management practices, and alignment to international standards.

  3. Accessing medical benefits Under ESI Scheme: A demand-side perspective

    The ESIS project is organizing an event on the 18 April, for the report launch and panel discussion.

    Orientation Workshop for the participating enterprises of Indian Tea Association

    4 - 5 April 2022

    The project, Safety + Health for all plantation workers in South Asia - India Component is collaborating with the Indian Tea Association (ITA) to promote Safety and Health for all plantation workers in the small and big estates of the members of Indian Tea Association in Assam. The ILO is starting this collaboration by conducting an Orientation Workshop for the participating enterprises of Indian Tea Association on 4-5 April 2022, virtually.

  6. International Women’s Day 2022: Investing in care for all

    8 March 2022

    The ILO celebrates this year’s International Women’s Day by advocating for large-scale investments in a package of transformative care leave and services that benefit workers, children, families, businesses, societies and the planet.

  7. Knowledge building on productivity management in garments sector and sustainable integration in global supply chain

    4 March 2022

    Knowledge building workshop in collaboration with State Government of Odisha and Andhra Pradesh to promote learning among apparel manufacturers in the two states about some practical and low-cost tips from lead buyers, Apparel Export Promotion Council and ILO to enhance productivity and align business practises to international standards

  8. Three Country OSH Training Workshop for Plantation Sector - Introduction and Application of Training Methodologies

    22 - 24 February 2022

    The workshop will introduce application methodologies such as Work Improvement in Neighbourhood Development (WIND) and Work Improvement in Small Enterprises (WISE) for the sector.

  9. Consultative meeting with the Small Tea Growers on Promoting Occupational Safety and Health in the Workplace

    18 February 2022

    The project "Safety + Health for all plantation workers in South Asia: India Component" organized a meeting with the Employers and Membership Based Organizations (EMBOs) on 23 July 2021. As a follow up, a consultative meeting is planned with the small tea growers associations of Assam on 18 February 2022 (virtually) to promote occupational health and safety for the tea plantation workers in the small holdings of the state and to discuss the way forward in collaboration with the project of ILO.

  10. Panel discussion and report launch: Digital innovations in social health protection for India

    17 February 2022

    The ILO project “Technical support to ESIS for improving and expanding access to health care services in India – A transition to formality” supported by the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation (BMGF), is organizing a panel discussion to launch its report on “Digital innovations in Social Health Protection for India”.
