Together with UN Women the ILO in New Delhi is hosting an event titled - Gender Challenges: A Conversation with Bina Agarwal. Insights from three-volume compendium of Bina Agarwal’s path-breaking essays, written over three decades, will be presented. Combining diverse disciplines, methodologies and cross-country comparisons, the essays challenge standard economic analysis and assumptions from a gender perspective. They provide original insights on a wide range of theoretical, empirical, and policy issues of continuing importance in contemporary debates.
