Technical Discussion on strengthening implementation of Bonded Labour System (Abolition) Act and inter-state Migrant Workmen Act

To discuss mechanisms for strengthening implementation of Bonded Labour and Inter-State Migrant Workmen Act with select Indian states.



The objective of the workshop is to facilitate discussions between the Ministry of Labour and Employment and States on:

1.  Experiences in implementation of the Bonded Labour System (Abolition) Act and Inter-State Migrant Workmen Act; and

2.  Way forward for strengthening the provisions of the Act and other institutional mechanisms for prevention and reducing vulnerability to bondage.
