There is a growing importance of migration and mobility in EU-India relations, as is seen in the EU-India Common Agenda for Migration and Mobility (CAMM) adopted at the EU-India Summit of 30 March 2016. CAMM brings cooperation between the two sides to a new level.

Rhys Cullen, International Relations Officer, Directorate General for Migration and Home Affairs, EU Commission, identifies four priority areas within the CAMM: legal migration, irregular migration, development and international protection. Areas of mutual interest need to be addressed together through technical cooperation based on data and research.
