  1. Strengthening informal businesses in India through Activity-Based Learning - Lessons from cases in Lao People's Democratic Republic and Cambodia

    The ILO organized an online workshop on “Delivering Impactful Support for Informal Businesses” for Indian ministries, sectoral associations and development organizations which support development of informal businesses. The workshop presented findings from research on training and skills needs for the informal sector in India, as well as case studies from Lao People's Democratic Republic Cambodia on delivery of the ILO’s Activity-Based Learning programmes.

  3. Knowledge hub on labour migration in South Asia launched

    The launch of the South Asia Centre for Labour Mobility and Migrants (SALAM) knowledge hub, which will bring together academic and policy think tanks from across the sub-region to advance the state of knowledge in this area, building bridges across disciplines.

    The ILO’s Global Call to Action for a human-centred recovery from the COVID-19 crisis, adopted by the membership at the International Labour Conference in June, has been endorsed by the Labour and Employment Ministers of the five BRICS economies.
