Director-General ILO visits India to attend the 2nd BRICS Labour and Employment Ministerial Meeting

Guy Ryder, the Director-General of the ILO and a team of senior ILO officials will be attending the BRICS Employment Working Group and BRICS Labour and Employment Ministerial Meeting in New Delhi.

The second meeting of the BRICS Employment Working Group (BEWG) and BRICS Labour and Employment Ministerial Meeting (LEMM) is scheduled to take place at the Taj Palace hotel in New Delhi, 26-28 September 2016.

The meeting will be attended by the Director-General of the ILO, Guy Ryder, and his team of senior officials — Deputy Director-General, Gilbert Houngbo, Director of the Employment Policy Department, Azita Berar Awad, ‎Special Adviser to the ILO Director-General, James Howard, Chief of CEPOL, Aurelio Parisotto, and Senior Social Protection Policy Specialist, Christina Behrendt.

ILO’s Decent Work Team (DWT) for South Asia and Country Office for India, will be represented by the Director, Panudda Boonpala, Deputy Director, Sher Verick, and other senior experts based in the New Delhi Office.
