International Forum of Trade Union Youth in Tashkent

The ILO Moscow Office participated in the International Forum of Trade Union Youth (TEMP 2019) held on 22–28 June in Tashkent.

The FORUM WAS organized by the Federation of Trade Unions of Uzbekistan together with its partners aimed to enhance cooperation among trade union youth from different countries and to provide a platform for the exchange of their experience and views.

The Forum brought together more than 200 young people, representing trade union youth from 20 countries and youth organization activists. Kanae Tada, Technical Officer of the ILO Decent Work Team and Country Office for Eastern Europe and Central Asia, delivered an opening speech and made a presentation on global and regional youth employment context on the following day.

At the end of the Forum, the participants formulated recommendations to their countries’ governments, trade unions and employers’ associations intended to create conditions for realizing young people’s labour potential and intellectual abilities.
