Employers’ Organizations discuss membership strategies

In collaboration with the ILO International Training Center (ITCILO) in Turin, ILO Office for Eastern Europe and Central Asia has organized a Sub-regional training on Membership strategies and Service design and delivery, which was held on 19 - 21 November 2018 in Moscow, Russia.

The training was facilitated by Vladimir Curovic, Senior Specialist for Employers’ Activities, ILO DWT/CO-Moscow and Jorge Illingworth, Programme Manager, ITCILO ACT/EMP, and co-facilitated by Anders Meyer, Programme Officer, ITCILO ACT/EMP. Milka Kosanovic, International Consultant from Croatian Employers Association, delivered the case study of Croatian Employers Association in membership and service delivery.


23 participants from 15 national and regional Employers and business membership Organizations of the region were trained on Membership development and retention, including: membership strategies, membership management practices and tools, development and use of value proposition.


The second major topic of the training was development and delivery of the services to the members, and service driven approach to membership development and revenue building.


Upon the completion of the course, the participants received attendance certificates approved by ITCILO and ILO DWT/CO-Moscow.

The participants assessed the course as very relevant and useful for their future work.
