Bishkek hosts 1st congress of Kyrgyz Confederation of Employers
On May 24, Bishkek hosted the first congress of the Confederation of Employers of Kyrgyzstan to hear reports of Confederation Chairman Alybek Kadyrov and of coordinators of the Confederation’s regional offices.
The congress adopted a resolution containing delegates’ proposals. Among basic provisions were transition of the Confederation into a nation-wide organization, accession to the International Employers’ Organization, and the Confederation’s creation of commercial entities and employers’ development fund.
Erkin Salymbekov, Dordoi Association chairman, was elected the Confederation’s president. Alybek Kadyrov was unanimously re-elected as the Confederation’s chairman.
