On July 16, the government of Kyrgyzstan, the Federation of Trade Unions of Kyrgyzstan and the republic’s employers’ associations signed the General Agreement for 2009-2011.

This document will define the country’s labour policy for the upcoming three years.

It reflects a range of issues on labour relations, employment, occupational safety and health.

The General Agreement is based on social guarantees such as the minimum wage rise, the creation of new jobs and the rights to vacation and medical care.
