  2. ILO-FNPR Conference and Workshop on the Future of Work and Trade Union Advocacy Took place in Rostov-on-Don

    The conference organized by the Federation of Independent Trade Unions of Russia (FNPR) jointly with the ILO opened up on October 16 at the Trade Union House of the Rostov Oblast. It was followed by an advocacy workshop for trade union associations of the Southern and North Caucasus Federal Districts focused on the future of work and trade union objectives.

    The Ministry of Education in close coordination with the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation organized a Project meeting to discuss the implementation status of the project Applying the G20 Training Strategy: A Partnership of the ILO and the Russian Federation (Phase 2). The meeting was organized under the umbrella of the 45th WorldSkills competition, which was hosted in the city of Kazan on 22-27 August, 2019.

  9. Heinz Koller: ILO Centenary Declaration is a roadmap to develop skill sets for today’s rapidly changing world of work

    The “Centenary Declaration for the Future of Work” adopted by the International Labour Conference in June, calls for a “human-centered approach” to the future of work. That is more than relevant for today’s discussion entitled “A world at risk: developing the skill sets to endure, adapt, and thrive”, said today Heinz Koller, Assistant Director-General of the International Labour Organization (ILO), Regional Director for Europe and Central Asia. He addressed the panel discussion at the international WorldSkills Conference 2019.
