The child labour problem concerns all types and sizes of enterprises, but is more prevalent in informal sector enterprises. The study focusses on child labourers engaged in Marikina's footwear industry.
The report summarizes the study findings and makes a number of recommendations for improving the situation of the children It desribes the daily routine, working conditions and aspirations of the children based on interviews with a sample of children and ocular inspections of their working environment. The parents were also interviewed with a view to obtaining their perceptions and opinions about the issue.
