Survey of HIV/AIDS information dissemination for migrant workers

The study focus on tracking the progress of disseminating information on HIV/AIDS at the level of recruitment agencies. The purpose was to determine the extent of implementation of HIV/AIDS training/education at the recruitment agencies, any emerging issues and concerns among their trainers.

The objectives of the study are to: (a) conduct a survey of existing training programmes on HIV/AIDS of maritime schools and private recruitment agencies to determine its context, breadth mode and frequency; (b) determine if there were significant changes if knowledge and attitudes and skills of the migrant workers about HIV/AIDS who participated in the training programmes; and (c) determine the needs, issues and concerns of trainors.
