Indigenous knowledge system and practices among selected Philippine ethnic groups and their promotion through cooperatives

The objectives of this study is to collect and analyze information about indigenous knowledge systems and practices of the major indigenous groups in the Philippines.

The study seeks to determine the roles and functions of the traditional institutions in implementing and promoting these practices, and to assess the viability of existing rural cooperatives established by these groups, their organizational structures, financial mechanisms and management patterns with a view to devising possible alternatives to create appropriate legal indigenous cooperative structures.
