Helping one’s self: Repair of livelihood and technical skills (LiTeS) training centre in Bogo City, Northern Cebu
Training in Bogo City’s Livelihood and Technical Skills (LiTeS) Training Center was hampered when Super Typhoon Haiyan (Yolanda) made landfall in Northern Cebu. In addition, the welding training building was severely damaged.
A total of 61 workers (including one nurse) were engaged in the sub-project, all of them receiving minimum wages, social security, health insurance, and accident insurance, as well as being provided with personal protective equipment (PPE).
