Eliminating child labour in the Philippines

The ILO reports an increased commitment among governments and other social partners to take comprehensive action against child labour. As a first line of reasoning, it may be said that the elimination of child labour appeals to one’s sense of right and wrong.

This study adopts the official, RA 7658 definition of child labour. Note that the definition implies three parameters to consider in determining if a child worker is a child labourer. These are hazards faced, age and parental supervision.
