Antique in the spotlight: Local economic development to create youth employment

In the Philippines, a great number of young people cannot find work. According to the 2011 data from the National Statistics Office, almost half of unemployed were young workers aged 15-24 years.

The Antique provincial government initiated a series of LED interventions in partnership with ILO to contribute to the achievement of the Millennium Development Goal of "full and productive employment and decent work for all, including women and young people" through stronger governance capacities and stakeholder participation.
