The ILO, with funding support from the Government of Japan, is implementing a Project on Child Labour in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (BARMM) entitled, “Achieving Reduction of Child Labour in Support of Education (ARISE) ", targeting agricultural communities in BARMM. It aims to increase awareness of the tripartite plus partners on child labour and contribute to the progressive withdrawal of children from child labour.
The ILO, based on its experiences in other countries, developed a Training Manual on Child Labour, which is a compilation of laws, policies and programmes in the Philippines geared towards the eradication of child labour and has field tested to check the suitability to BARMM environment. The ILO for this undertaking intends to do a capacity development of partners through a Training Roll-out using the said Training Manual on Child Labour Laws.
