About 150 displaced workers from the informal economy benefit from the Community Emergency Employment Programme in Maguindanao

The ILO-Japan Water and Sanitation Project and the Ministry of Labor and Employment (MOLE) distribute wages and benefits under the Community Emergency Employment Programme (CEEP).

Women and informal economy workers affected by the COVID-19 pandemic were part of the CEEP priority groups.
MOLE distributed allowances to 150 beneficiaries, mainly displaced workers in the informal economy under the programme. The distribution happened in six barangays of Sharif Aguak, Sharif Saydona Mustapha and Datu Abdullah Sangki in Maguindanao after fifteen days of working or cleaning their community.

MOLE officials distribute wages and benefits under CEEP in six barangays in Maguindanao.
MOLE implemented the CEEP under the ILO-Japan Water and Sanitation Project, with funding from the Government of Japan to reach out to workers affected by the COVID-19 pandemic, mostly those in the informal economy. It was successfully initiated in BARMM, and will become part of the government’s regular programme this year.
