School rehabilitation worker-beneficiaries’ project orientation

San Victor Elementary School (SVES) facilities rehabilitation worker-beneficiaries’ project orientation

The International Labour Organization (ILO), in collaboration with Uswag Kita Inc., and with the support of the Government of Norway, repaired some of the teaching facilities of the San Victor Elementary School (SVES) in Barangay San Victor, Tanuaan, Leyte. Rehabilitated were the Social Hall, the Home Economics room, and a Grade VI classroom.

Mr Godofredo Rodriguez (extreme left), ILO Tacloban’s Project Officer, is among those who on 26 June 2015 oriented worker-beneficiaries from Barangay San Victor on the details of the SVES rehabilitation work, plus SSS and PhilHealth processes and requirements (©ILO/2015).
The sub-project also introduced the principles of decent work to the worker-beneficiaries, most of who were women and parents of SVES pupils. In the course of the sub-project, they received at least minimum wages, social security benefits, health and accident insurance, and personal protective equipment (PPE). On 26 June 2015, the sub-project’s worker-beneficiaries attended a project orientation organized by the ILO. They were likewise oriented on Social Security System (SSS) and Philippine Health Insurance Corporation (PhilHealth) processes and requirements.
