Minimum wage fixing guidelines for domestic workers

All Employers Forum on Minimum Wage Fixing Guidelines for Domestic Workers

ILO provides technical and financial assistance to the Employers’ Confederation of the Philippines (ECOP) to conduct an All Employers’ Forum to provide a broader platform for its employer constituents to raise awareness on the new rules of procedures on the minimum wage fixing for domestic workers, as well as the advisory on competency-based wage for domestic workers, which was issued by the National Wages and Productivity Commission (NWPC) in August 2014 and February 2015 respectively.

The ECOP Secretariat will present its official position on the new policy guidelines and will seek the views and opinions of its constituents during workshops and results are envisaged to contribute in further developing ECOP’s official stance, on behalf of household employers especially; and recommendations will be conveyed to NWPC for their reference. About 40 participants from the employer representatives in the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Boards (RTWPBs) across regions and household employer representatives will be invited to take part in the forum.
