Workshop on Adopting a Roadmap to Eliminate Child Labour in Domestic Work in the Philippines

The aim of the activity is to come up with a overarching framework and plan that would guide policies and programmes and their implementation in ensuring that there is no child labour in domestic work in the Philippines.

A Workshop on Adopting a Roadmap to Eliminate Child Labour in Domestic Work in the Philipines was held from 20 - 22 January 2015. The aim of the activity was to come up with a overarching framework and plan that would guide policies and programs and their implementation in ensuring that there is no child labour in domestic work in the Philippines. Representatives from workers' groups, the Employers' Confederation of the Philipines (ECOP), civil society organizations and government agencies actively participated in the event. Different topics and researches related to child domestic work in the Philippines were discussed and these paved the way for the successful formulation of a Roadmap which had elements in the following areas: knowledge management and advocacy, capacity-building, political action, partnership-building, and social mobilization.
