This forum aims to convene stakeholders from the employers and workers groups in Naga City to: (a) discuss and raise awareness on the newly enacted law on the Expanded Breastfeeding Promotion Act of 2009 known as Republic Act 10028, its implementing rules and regulations (IRR) and other existing local policies and frameworks in Naga City in promoting exclusive and continued breastfeeding in the workplace; (b) to review the national and local policies and assess their consistency in terms of principles, mechanisms set and other issues related to its implementation; and (c) to solicit next steps and recommendations towards effective promotion of exclusive and continued breastfeeding in the workplace and implementation of RA 10028.
