ILO-FAO and Municipal Working Group Planning Workshop

The activity is aimed at promoting participatory management, enhancing coordination and planning process at the local government level and heightening the sense of ownership and responsibilities of the partners to the project.

The ILO-FAO Programme Management Office, together with representatives from the Office of the Presidential Adviser on the Peace Process (OPAPP), and members of the Municipal Working Group (MWG) from Unisan, Catanauan, Mulanay and San Narciso will participate in the planning workshop.

The workshop of the Inter-Agency Programme to Nurture Peace, Security and Decent Work through Local Development in Conflict Areas of the Philippines (Bondoc Peninsula) programme will be an occasion to provide project updates to the members of the MWG from four municipalities, share the PAMANA programme of the current administration through the OPAPP, introduce LED objectives and processes, and solicit inputs from the participants on the plan for the succeeding year of project implementation. PAMANA stands for “payapa at masaganang pamayanan” (peaceful & productive communities). It is the peace and development programme of the current administration that seeks to resolve and manage armed conflicts by complementing peace dialogue initiatives with community-driven development projects.
