Philippines Employment Projections Model (PEPM) 2015 Inception Mission

An ILO mission was conducted in February 2015 and involved meetings and consultations with DOLE and other partners and stakeholders, to discuss the proposed features, work plan and timelines for the Philippines Employment Projections Model (PEPM) 2015.

An ILO mission was conducted in February 2015 and involved meetings and consultations with the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) and other PEPM partners and stakeholders, with the following objectives:
  • Take stock of PEPM progress and updates since 2011;
  • Understand DOLE’s needs and expectations, priority issues and concerns in order to provide more relevant, in-depth analysis;
  • Gather additional and more recent data; and
  • Set a timeline and work plan for the PEPM 2015 update.
The ILO mission met with key DOLE agencies -- Institute of Labor Studies (ILS), Bureau of Local Employment (BLE) as well as other government partners -- Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA), Department of Budget and Management (DBM), Board of Investments (BOI) – Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), National Economic Development Authority (NEDA) and the Philippines Statistics Authority (PSA).
