CSR/Responsible Business Conduct for Agri-business

Call for Expression of Interest: Master of Ceremony and Moderator for the ILO-OECD-ECOP Technical Seminar on the Implementation of International Expectations and Standards on CSR/Responsible Business Conduct for Agri-Business

The EU-ILO-OECD project titled “Responsible Supply Chains in Asia” aims to contribute to an enhanced respect for labour, environment and human rights standards by businesses engaged in supply chains in Asia. The project is funded by the European Union and it takes guidance from the ILO Tripartite Declaration of Principles concerning Multinational Enterprises and Social Policy (ILO MNE Declaration, 2017) and the OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises (2011). It is implemented in six Asian countries, namely: the Philippines, Japan, China, Vietnam, Thailand and Myanmar.

Objective of the Technical Seminar

The objective of the Technical Seminar is to facilitate a safe-space for businesses to openly discuss challenges in implementing RBC expectations, including in addressing decent work issues, particularly in the agri-business sector. Through this Technical Seminar, companies will learn about the leading international standards and tools available to business to implement RBC/CSR standards and practices and promote sector collaboration and transparency in addressing key risks across global agricultural supply chains.

Objective in Engaging an External Collaborator

The overall objective of engaging an external collaborator is to facilitate the smooth flow of the full- day program, properly introduce the speakers and presentors, ensure a dynamic, interesting and balanced discussions during the World Café session, including continuity of the session to individual presentations and plenary discussions including making sure of good time keeping.
