Orientation Workshops on Advocacy for Rights and Good Corporate Governance

The International Labour Organization (ILO) Country Office for Nepal organized one-day orientation workshops on the new Advocacy for Rights and Good Corporate Governance Project which is a sub-component of the UNNATI –Inclusive Growth Programme in Nepal, covering seven districts of Eastern development region (Illam, Panchthar, Taplejung, Dhankuta, Terhathum, Sankhuwasabha and Bhojpur) in October and November 2015.

The main objective of the workshops was to brief stakeholders about the Project and build awareness on the Advocacy Challenge Fund (ACF) windows and mechanisms and its contribution to the wider UNNATI Programme. Workshops attracted the attention and active participation from government line agencies, non-government organizations, research centres, private sector organizations (including employer and workers organizations) and value chain actors. While focusing particular attention on the sub-component Advocacy for Rights and Good Corporate Governance and Challenge Fund, the orientation workshops also provided a thorough understanding on the other components of the UNNATI Programme.
