  4. Global Jobs Pact Country Scan: South Africa

    A key element of the ILO's strategy to support constituents in applying the Global Jobs Pact is the preparation of the "Global Jobs Pact Country Scan". This document is intended to provde a description of the impact of the crisis in the country, a detailed description of the policy responses using the Pact portfolio as a checklist, and recommendations on how national policies can contribute to shaping a fair and sustainable globalization.

    The Argentinian Scan has two objectives: first, to describe the impact of the global financial crisis on Argentina from the second half of 2008 onwards by analysing its impact on relevant macroeconomic variables, on employment and on social protection; and second, to review public policy responses adopted in all areas covered by the Pact.

  6. Global Jobs Pact Country Scan: El Salvador

    During preparation of the present study, the International Labour Organization made available to the Salvadoran constituents an analysis of the current situation, as a resource to use in the national dialogue on policies. The analysis provides an examination of the situation in the country and the policies adopted in response, using the Pact as a comprehensive analytical framework.
