Women and rural roads, July 2015
The survey explores the social-economic outcomes for women who live on R4D-rehabilitated roads and provides a gender perspective on the data outlined in the R4D Labourers’ survey report.
The impact on women from the rehabilitation of rural roads has been explored through the collection and assessment of qualitative data. Semi-structured interviews were carried out, and these were augmented by field observations. A gender assessment has been applied to quantitative data from relevant R4D M&E instruments.
