Workshop on Competency Based Training and Face-to-Face training of Instructors from BLKI Sorong
Taking consideration to the globalization, the work and the skills on demand are changing rapidly due to new technology and innovations. This has the effect to reduce the number of low or unskilled workplaces globally and in another way to extend the skills of the work force in very short timeframe. It requires a regularly skills upgrading and cooperation with the industries and employers and to define what is expected from the employees in the workplace.

It requires a regularly skills upgrading and cooperation with the industries and employers and to define what is expected from the employees in the workplace. The training programs at the BLKI are best applied when industrial enterprises and BLKI give full attention to the performance of the trainees and the competency based training program. CBT certificate is helping employers to assess the skills acquired by employment.
Objectives
The 10-days workshop is planned for management and instructors of BLKI Sorong with the objectives:
- To improve the CBT teaching skills and deliver CBT-based training
- To improve the individual teaching skills of the instructors through face-to-face training
- To enable the instructors to motivate the trainees
- To improve the capability of instructors to organize their professional skills upgrading continuously
- To enable the instructor to prepare CBT based training materials
- To support the implementation of CBT methods at BLKI Sorong
