  2. ILO-UNHCR team up to empower Indonesian youth and refugee youth

    Indonesia is the home for more than 13,000 foreign refugees, including their young generations. The ILO-UNHCR launched a joint initiative on entrepreneurship training for both Indonesian youth and refugee youth to give them opportunities to interact with each other, enhance their entrepreneurship skills and empower one another.

  4. Turning people with intellectual disabilities into entrepreneurs

    People with disabilities, including people with intellectual disabilities, often lack of information on how to identify a business idea or to start a business. The ILO initiated the first entrepreneurship training for both students with intellectual disabilities and their parents.

    Occupational safety and health (OSH) is often poorly managed in micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), causing greater risk of workplace accidents and work-related ill health. As part of its 2018 OSH campaign, the ILO conducted a mini business clinic to help Indonesian MSEs building productive, safe and healthy businesses.
