The 2018 World AIDS Day
Joining forces to promote non-discriminatory policies at the workplace and VCT@Work
To commemorate the 2018 World AIDS Day, the ILO together with its social partners have joined forces to conduct and implement a series of commitments and programmes regarding the importance of knowing your status and the implementation of the non-discriminatory policy at the workplace.
The workplace is key to preventing the spread of the HIV epidemic as well as providing information and assistance on treatment and support. To further promote the importance of knowing your status and non-discriminatory policies at the workplace, the ILO together with its social partners have conducted a series of events as follows:
- Reactivation of the Workplace Working Group on HIV
- The commitment and the VCT@Work programme of PT Angkasa Pura II, a state-owned company for airport services to eliminate stigma and discrimination against HIV at the workplace
- The commitment of the Indonesian Employers’ Association (Apindo) and its member companies to implement HIV prevention programmes
- The interactive talkshow to raise the public awareness about knowing your status and non-discriminatory policy at the workplace
