Biodata of Sri Moertiningsih Adioetomo

In 1997-2003 she was assigned as the Director of Lembaga Demografi FEB-UI. Her skill in demography and population analysis and its socio-economic consequences was devoted to the government during the Era of President Abdurrachman Wahid as senior advisor to the Minister of Transmigration and Population in 2000. In 2001-2003 she was assigned by the President Megawati to work for the Coordinating Minister of People’s Welfare Mr Jusuf Kalla and served as Deputy for Women’s Empowerment. Back at the Lembaga Demografi FEBUI she is now serving as adjunct researcher and a consultant to many domestic and international institutions. In 2010 she coordinated (as PI) a consortium study with HelpAge International on “The need for social protection of poor and vulnerable older person in Indonesia” submitted to the Office of the Vice President (TNP2K).
In 2010 and 2015 she and the Lembaga Demografi team developed “Indonesia Social Protection Index” for ADB. In 2017 and 2018 with HelpAge International and ADB, she conducts Country Diagnostic Study on Elderly Long-term Care; in 2020 she wrote “Human Capital Investment, Life Cycle Approach” submitted to the Coordinating Ministry of Human Development and Culture; and in 2021 she writes and analyses The Inclusion of Older Persons in the SDG30 Voluntary National Review 2021 with focus on the Impact of Covid-19 on Older persons submitted to the SDGs Secretariate at Bappenas.
Her latest publication is Memetik Bonus Demografi. Membangun Manusia Sejak Dini. Eds Adioetomo and Pardede 2018 (Harnessing Bonus Demography, Human Capital Development Started from Early Life). Jakarta Rajagrafindo Publisher. Her speech during Professor Inauguration 2005 titled: “Bonus Demografi Menjelaskan Hubungan antara Pertumbuhan Penduduk dengan Pertumbuhan Ekonomi” was granted an Intellectual Property Right in Indonesia on 31 July 2019.
