Third batch of Labour Inspectors’ Nationwide Training Program in Punjab

ILO’s Dutch funded project on Strengthening Labour Inspection Systems in Pakistan (SLISP) is implementing a nationwide training program for labour inspecting staff of Provincial Labour Inspectorates. The training program so far had successfully completed eleven cohorts in which a total of 302 inspecting staff [292 men and 10 women] from Balochistan, Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, AJK, ICT, GB and Punjab have been trained. This training will attempt to provide opportunity to another group of 30 labour inspectors improve theoretical and practical competencies focusing on a) labour inspection regulatory frameworks, b) Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work (FPRW) and c) contemporary labour inspection methodologies/skills.
