Gender sensitisation training of Department of Labour officials

A three days comprehensive gender sensitisation training of the officials of Departments of labour is planned in the last week of December. The purpose is to build the capacity of the DoLs for them to; i) Understand the importance of gender mainstreaming in the operations and the functions of the DoL ii) Recruit more women in the Directorate iii) Design gender mainstreamed programmes instead of exclusive women programmes iv) Understand and promote sustainable means of gender empowerment such as transport for women labour inspectors and conducive work environment and working conditions
