    Situation Report on Child Labour (Plantation, Fire-Works Industry, Tile Industry, Coir Industry & Fishery) - Final Report - Sri Lanka

    The objective of the surveys on fireworks, fishery, coir and tile industries and plantation sectors is to estimate through a household based survey the size of the child workers population directly involved in the production process, as well as the number of migrant child workers in the plantation sector who were sent from these communities into other parts of the country as CDW, garment factory workers etc.

    Paper No.2 of four papers synthesizing the knowledge and experiences acquired from the ILO-IPEC project "West African Cocoa and Commercial Agriculture Project to Combat Hazardous and Exploitive Child Labour" (WACAP), which was implemented in Cameroon,Côte d¿Ivoire, Ghana, Guinea and Nigeria from 2002 to 2006. This paper summarizes the finding of country studies on the safety and health situations ofchildren working in cocoa farming in the countries covered by the project.

    Comprehensive training guide on prevention and elimination of child labour to DCLC, VCLCs, teachers/educators and councillors in Urambo, Tanzania

    A Urambo Tobacco Sector Project Training Guide. These workshop materials are designed to be used with adult, college, or other public audiences. Materials were piloted on 21st August 2007 in workshop in Ukondamoyo, Urambo primarily with groups of primary school teachers, but also with ward education coordinators, ward executive officers and several mixed public audiences.

    Girls in mining and quarrying in Ghana

    The expansion in mining activities has triggered the influx of all sorts of artisanal operators, including girl child labourers. This study is essentially aimed at generating new insights into girls in mining to inform policy and planning in the ILO/IPEC Time Bound programmes for the elimination of the worst forms of child labour.
