It also compares and contrasts advantages and disadvantages of various types of interventions.

Looks specifically at children¿s non-market activity, classification, impact on health and education outcomes, and also labour market activities.

  3. Girls in mining and quarrying in Ghana

    The expansion in mining activities has triggered the influx of all sorts of artisanal operators, including girl child labourers. This study is essentially aimed at generating new insights into girls in mining to inform policy and planning in the ILO/IPEC Time Bound programmes for the elimination of the worst forms of child labour.
