  8. World Day Against Child Labour

    Thai Frozen Foods Association members commit to the elimination of child labour in the industry. The association will launch a policy aimed to encourage responsible business practices and promote conditions of work that provide a safe and motivating working environment that is free of child labour and uphold and promote national labour laws and relevant international labour standards. The launch will be on the occasion of World Day Against Child Labour which this year focuses on Human Rights and Social Justice. Let's end Child Labour!

  9. World Day Against Child Labour 2012

    12 June 2012

    This year the World Day Against Child Labour will provide a spotlight on the right of all children to be protected from child labour and from other violations of fundamental human rights. In 2010 the international community adopted a Roadmap for achieving the elimination of the worst forms of child labour by 2016, which stressed that child labour is an impediment to children’s rights and a barrier to development. World Day 2012 will highlight the work that needs to be done to make the roadmap a reality.

  10. IPEC-Thailand: Dialoguing with NGOs Partners

    The project ILO-IPEC "Addressing child labour issues in the shrimp and seafood sector in Thailand" will dialogue with selected NGOs partners operating in the provinces of Samut Sakhon, Surat Thani, Songhklha and Nakhon Si Thammarat on issues related to child labour, education and livelihood services.

  12. Dealing with Labour Issues in Export Supply Chains – Labour Rights and CSR – The Case of Thailand.

    Jointly organized by the ILO-IPEC programme and ECOT, the meeting will be an opportunity to provide better understanding of labour and human rights issues in supply chains as well as proactive approaches to address these issues in industry and businesses in Thailand. The half-day meeting is part of a partnership between the ILO and the Royal Thai Government to work on the issues of child labour, forced labour and improvements of working conditions and competitiveness of businesses in Thailand.

  14. National consultation combating child labour in fisheries in Cambodia

    The Fisheries Administration of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MoAFF) of Cambodia, with technical and financial support provided by the ILO and FAO, will organize a national consultation in Phnom Pehn, from 22-24 February 2012. In this three-day consultation will participate key stakeholders of the Fisheries Administration from central and provincial levels, the Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training, community fisheries representatives, related local authorities, agencies and NGOs.
