  4. Inspiring farmers to eliminate child labour from lower tiers of the cotton supply chain in Pakistan

    A cotton grower in Bahawalpur District of Pakistan promises that from now on, no child will work in his fields again. The ILO developed this testimonial under its project “Promoting Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work in the Cotton Supply Chain”, funded by INDITEX.

    On Friday 22 April, Mozambique held its National Conference on Combatting the Worst Forms of Child Labour in Chimoio, Manica Province. Several high-level representatives took part in this conference, including the Minister of Labour and Social Security, Margarida Adamugy Talapa, the Governor of Manica, Francisca Domingos Tomás, and the Vice Minister of Gender, Child and Social Action, Lucas Mangrasse.
