Visit us

If you are an external visitor, you need to request access to the ILO Library premises at least two working days prior to your visit. Please follow the registration steps detailed below. 
  1.  Print and complete the ILO Library access request form 
  2. Scan the completed form and send it along with the required documents to 
  3.  An email about the status of your request will be sent within 48 hours upon reception of the form and required documents.
  4. If your application is approved, please present your confirmation email from the Library, a valid photo ID and your student/research certificate at the ILO Security Desk (R2 North)
The ILO Library in Geneva, Switzerland, is located on the R-2 level (South) of the ILO Headquarters building, 4, route des Morillons, between Route de Ferney and Avenue Appia. 

Public Transit
Buses 8, 28 and F all stop at the ILO (stop "BIT") and timetables can be consulted at From the "BIT" bus stop, follow the arrows to the entrance.

If arriving by car, enter the visitors' garage and go to the doorway labelled "Nord" (north). A map of Geneva in English showing the location of the ILO is available at the official web site of the City of Geneva.
