Industrial accidents:

accidents occurring during work or outside the workplace if work is required outside, or accidents occurring during the transportation of workers collectively from their residence to a workplace located at a distance or during their return from that place.

Occupational disease:

a temporary or permanent illness or invalidity caused by repeated exposure due to the work performed or caused by the conditions of work performed, in addition to illnesses indicated in Article 34 of the Regulation on Job Safety and the Preservation of Workers' Health.

Permanent incapacity for work:

the loss of all or part of the earnings capacity of the insured person in the particular occupation at the end of medical treatment following an industrial accident or occupational disease.

Minimum period of absence from work: not available.

Maximum period for death to be considered a fatal occupational injury: not available.

Classifications

(a) fatal or non-fatal, and time of death:

sudden death, death during period of temporary incapacity, death during period of permanent incapacity;

(b) extent of disability:

death, permanent incapacity to work (less than 10 per cent, 10-19 per cent, 20-29 per cent, 30-39 per cent, 40-49 per cent, 50 per cent or more), other;

(c) economic activity:

according to the national classification scheme which follows closely the International Standard Industrial Classification of All Economic Activities, Revision 2, at the division level;

(d) occupation:

none;

(e) type of injury:

type of injury and bodily location: fracture of cranium; fracture of backbone or other body bones; other fracture; dislocation; sprain or injury to muscle; traumatism of the head; bleeding in the chest, stomach or pelvis; cuts and grazes; superficial traumatism or contusion; burn; poisoning; unknown;

occupational disease: diseases due to carbon monoxide; diseases due to manganese and its compounds; diseases due to phosphor and its compounds; diseases due to organic phosphor compounds; diseases due to lead and lead salts; diseases due to halogenated aliphatic and alicyclic hydrocarbons; diseases due to benzene and its homologues; skin diseases not related to cancer; silicosis and silica tuberculosis; diseases caused by Thomas Scoria; occupational bronchial asthma; rie tuberculosis; diseases caused by ionic lights; loss of hearing ability due to noise; other;

level of daily earnings (33 groups); age group (up to 14, 15 to 19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60 and over); sex; with or without dependents; seniority (1 day, 2-7 days, 8-30 days, 1-3 months, 3 months-1 year, 1-2 years, 2-5 years, 5-10 years, 10 years or more, unknown);

(i) characteristics of accident:

cause: motor vehicle accident; other transport accident; poisoning; fall; machinery; fire or explosion of combustible material; corrosive liquid, steam or radiation; fire-arms; drowning or submersion; other accidental causes; homicide or injury purposely inflicted by other persons; unknown cause;

time of accident: first working hour, second, third, fourth, fifth, sixth, seventh, eighth, ninth, unknown;

(j) characteristics of employers or workplaces:

size of establishment (1-3, 4-9, 10-20, 21-50, 51-100, 101-200, 201-500, 501-1000, 1001 or more, unknown);

(k) other:

region: regional directorates, section directorates and provinces.

The number of persons at risk is also supplied and stored in the LABORSTA database.
