Employment:

Persons aged 15 years and over who, during the reference week, worked for at least one hour and persons who had a job from which they were temporarily absent.

It includes:

  1. persons with a job but temporarily absent from work due to illness or injury, vacation or annual leave, maternity or paternity leave, educational or training leave if less than six months, absence without leave, labor management dispute, bad weather, mechanical breakdown, etc.
  2. full or part-time workers seeking other work during the reference week;
  3. persons who performed some work for pay or profit during the reference week but were subject to compulsory schooling, retired and receiving a pension, registered as job seekers at an employment office or receiving unemployment benefits;
  4. full or part-time students working full or part-time;
  5. paid apprentices and trainees;
  6. unpaid family workers at work during the reference week or temporarily absent from work;
  7. volunteers and career members of the armed forces and persons in paid civilian service equivalent to military service.

Unemployment:
