March 2019

  1. Policy dialogue on international labour commitments related to child labour in the context of international integration

    8 March 2019

    The workshop aims to raise awareness on international commitments and obligations related to child labour issues in the context of global economic integration.

February 2019

  1. Finalization and publication of Independent Evaluation Report on the implementation of the Law 72

    20 February 2019

    The event will be held in Hanoi in order to assess the achievements of the Law 72 in realizing the goals of related State policies.

January 2019

  1. Consultation workshop on legislation framework related to child and minor workers, including child labour in Viet Nam

    15 - 16 January 2019

    A two-day consultation workshop will be organized with the participation of policy makers and officials/staff from the concerned agencies to provide their comments on the draft report of legal review and analyses, as well as propose inputs and suggestions for revision of the Labour Code.

  1. Tripartite Consultation Workshop on the Reform of the Law on Contract-Based Vietnamese Overseas Workers (Law 72)

    30 November 2018

    The workshop aims to assist in framing policies and adjustments to be made to the Law 72 through enable key stakeholders to provide their views on the review and revision of the law conducted by DOLAB and for the consultant to present preliminary findings of the independent evaluation. The workshop will also allow participants to increase awareness of the international standards relating to labour migration and best practices of the other origin countries in formulating law governing labour migration.

  2. Training of Trainers for labour inspectors

    27 - 30 November 2018

    The training to enhance labour inspection trainer capability will take place from 27 to 30 November 2018.

  1. Appraisal workshop on the Training package for labour inspectors

    29 - 30 October 2018

    The workshop with the aim to review and amend the training package for labour inspectors will take place on 29 and 30 October 2018 in Hanoi.

  2. Validation workshop on knowledge and occupational skills of pig farm managers in northen region of Viet Nam

    24 October 2018

    The workshop is conducted in the framework of the ‘Applying the G20 Training Strategy: A Partnership of the ILO and the Russian Federation’ project with the support from Directorate of Vocational Education and Training (DVET) in order to validate draft report and plan next steps.

  3. Workshop on raising awareness on ILO core conventions and labour commitments in the free trade agreements

    23 October 2018

    The event is co-organized by ILO and VGCL with the aim to raise awareness for key trade union leaders, especially the newly elected presidents of FOLs, Industrial Unions on ILO core conventions.

  4. Training of Trainers on Occupational Safety and Health mainstreamed into vocational training programmes

    19 - 23 October 2018

    The Trainings of trainers (TOT) aims to provide vocational teachers and trainers with knowledge and understanding of OSH hazards and risks as well as preventive measures to protect safety and health of workers, especially young workers at the workplaces, using the newly developed OSH training materials mainstreamed into vocational programmes.

  1. 7th ASEAN Labour Inspection Conference: Strategic labour inspection for Decent Work including in global supply chains

    27 - 28 September 2018

    The 7th ASEAN Labour Inspection Conference (ALIC) is hosted by the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs of Viet Nam in HCM City with support from the ILO and the ASEAN Secretariat with the proposed theme "Strategic labour inspection for Decent Work including in global supply chains".

  2. Training on Child Labour Standards Reporting for concerned agencies in Viet Nam

    18 - 21 September 2018

    From 18 to 21 September 2018, Ms Yoshie Noguchi, Senior Legal Specialist, Fundamental ILO Geneva and Ms Giselle Milton, Activity Manager the ILO International Training Centre in Turin, have conduct a training to strengthen relevant stakeholders capacity in the field of action against child labour, while at the same time provides participants with useful guidelines on the submission of their reports on Convention 138 and Convention 182.

  3. Viet Nam National Tripartite Preparatory Workshop for the 11th ASEAN Forum on Migrant Labour

    10 September 2018

    The workshop to review progress of implementation the recommendations of the previous ASEAN Forum on Migrant Labour (AMFL) and recommendations for the 11th AFML will be on 10 September in Hanoi.

  4. Training of Trainers (ToT) on the package “Understanding about child labour”

    10 - 14 September 2018

    In order to have a qualified team of master trainers, in terms of knowledge and skills, who can deliver various training courses in the framework of the project, as well as being a source of trainers on child labour, with the technical and financial support of the project, a Training of Trainers (TOT) course will be conducted by a groups of experts, and organized in coordination with the Department of Children Affairs.

  1. Awareness raising workshop on Child Labour

    22 August 2018

    Viet Nam Association of Seafood exporters and producers (VASEP) in collaboration with ILO will organize a seminar to advocate and to raise awareness on child labour especially in the context of international integration among fishery business sector in the VIETFISH exhibition.

  2. Social insurance capacity building programme for the implementation of Master Plan on Social Insurance Reform in Viet Nam

    14 - 16 August 2018

    This training programme aims at equipping officials with technical knowledge and practical skills, immediately applicable for their daily works during the implementation process of Master Plan on Social Insurance Reform (MPSIR).

  3. International Youth Day 2018 celebration: GET TOGETHER!

    10 August 2018

    The celebration is jointly organized by the UNWGAY, Youth Union, Institute of Blood and Blood transfusion of Ministry of Health, The Light Center, a local NGO, working in reproductive health care and National University of Economy.

  4. Capacity building workshop for Youth Advisory Group

    8 - 9 August 2018

    The event is expected to provide YAG members with essential knowledge on policy development process and skills for evidence-based advocacy for youth law, youth policies and national programmes.
