Start and Improve Your Business (SIYB) Refreshment Training Workshop

The workshop aim to refresh the SIYB training materials on entrepreneurship skills including updating the exercises and examples of business ideas, and friendly to local entrepreneurs that can be more relevant to local contexts.

Start and Improve Your Business (SIYB) is currently the largest global business management training programme with a focus on starting and improving businesses as a strategy for creating more and better employment for women and men. SIYB was first introduced by the ILO 20 years ago. After providing training for thousands of trainers and trainees over the past two decades, the revised SIYB (version 2015) is being re-introduced in Viet Nam by the ILO Country Office in collaboration with VCCI.

During the workshop, the adaptation and edition of the revised 2015 vietnamese version is supported by SIYB Master Trainers Club members through reviewing, providing inputs and testing training new parts of the training packages.

SIYB Refreshment training workshop has the following concrete objectives:
  • Raise Awareness raised and enhance for national constituents, particularly VCCI on informality to promote and facilitate the transition to formality within key value chains.
  • Updating the exercises and examples of business ideas, and friendly to local entrepreneurs that can be more relevant to local contexts
  • National constituents and vocational training institutions use the ILO training packages including master trainers and TOT trainings in supporting the formalization of the informality.
