Forum on Ethnic Minority Development 2017 “Cooperation, connectivity to support ethnic minority start-ups”
To support CEMA to have right orientation in supporting the start-up-business for the vulnerable groups in mountainous areas, together with World Bank, Care international, iSEE and other development partners.
CEMA, an agency of Viet Nam National Assembly operates as a ministerial-level administration focusing on ethnic minority issues. They play an important roles in all the policy making and implementation regarding all 54 ethnic minorities in Viet Nam. In addition to the role of strong policy responses, CEMA is actively a champion and rapporteur of ethnic minority development with the coordination of CEMA in Poverty Reduction National Targeted Programme, especially in the component of capacity building with models to replicate nationally. Therefore, CEMA is a quite potential stakeholder who can apply SIYB for ethnic minority groups in their nationwide programmes.

- Update and analysis problems from practices to policies connecting to the start their business of communities in the comment context of Viet Nam.
- Discuss and identify challenges, solutions and roles of relevant actors in promoting, creating incentives and support the business start-up.
- Introduce good start-up models for these vulnerable groups and set up a network of supporting start-up business for the vulnerable groups in mountainous areas.
