Training courses for teachers from schools in Thua Thien-Hue and Quang Nam on Front Office Operations, Food and Beverage Services and Food Preparation

One of the main reasons for the lack of skills from school graduates is that the teachers themselves do not have sufficient practical skills to train their students. In order to improve teaching quality for vocational schools in Thua Thien-Hue and Quang Nam, in cooperation with Hue Tourism Vocational College, training courses on upgrading teachining skills in Front Office Operations, Food and Beverage Services and Food Preparation are organized with participation of local teachers in the two provinces

Objective

The objective is to upgrade the practical skills in Front Office Operations, Food and Beverage Services and Food Preparation (Cooking) for teachers from schools in Quang Nam and Thua Thien-Hue province, leading to quality improvement in training services of the schools. The skills are in line with Viet Nam Tourism Occupational Standards (VTOS) 2013 and ASEAN Mutual Recognition Agreement and are recognized by the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs.

Each course will take place in 12 consecutive days, including weekends, as follows:
  • Food and Beverage Services course: from 4th Aug to 15th Aug 2015
  • Food Preparation (Cooking) course: from 12th Aug to 23rd Aug 2015
  • Front Office Operations course: from 20th Aug to 31st Aug 2015

Participants

Participants come from Faculty of Tourism in Hue University, Phu Xuan University (Thua Thien Hue Province) and Phan Chu Trinh University, Dong A College, North Quang Nam Vocational School, Quang Nam University, Quang Nam College of Economics and Technology, Quang Nam school of Culture, Art and Tourism (Quang Nam Province)
