National policy dialogue on "ASEAN Community 2015: Managing integration for better jobs and shared prosperity”

A new ILO/ADB report is presented at the event.

The introduction of the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) at the end of next year could spur growth in Viet Nam’s GDP by 14.5 per cent and growth in jobs by an additional 10.5 per cent by 2025, according to a country brief for Vietnam, based on the new report “ASEAN integration 2015: Managing integration for better jobs and shared prosperity” prepared by the International Labour Organization (ILO) and the Asian Development Bank (ADB). 

Minister of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs, Pham Thi Hai Chuyen, noted in particular the need for Viet Nam to prepare for the ASEAN Economic Community.
