HANOI (ILO News) – Details on the 2019 Labour Code and its sub-law documents are now available online at http://boluatlaodong2019.molisa.gov.vn/.

The website has been up and running since 1 January 2021 when the 2019 Labour Code took effect.

It includes the full text of the Code and accompanying legislations, frequently asked questions and answers on popular topics, quizzes and related publications.

Developed and owned by the Ministry of Labour, Invalids and Social Affairs with ILO support, the website is expected to help workers, employers and the public better access details and materials on the 2019 Labour Code.

Adopted in November 2019, the revised Labour Code is better in line with international labour standards. It creates an improved legal framework for employment relations, working conditions, and the representation of employers and workers. It also places greater emphasis on the use of voluntary collective negotiations, which are required for a modern socialist-oriented market economy in the process of deeper global integration.

The ILO support for the development of the website is part of the New Industrial Relations Framework (NIRF) project funded by the US Department of Labor.
