Viet Nam’s 1st Industrial Relations Summer School now open for applications

HANOI (ILO News) – Viet Nam’s first summer school on industrial relations will be held from 24 to 29 July this year at Ton Duc Thang University in HCM City.

The 6-day intensive course will provide an overview of industrial relations developments, explore the relevant Vietnamese and international academic literature, introduce key research skills and offer unique field experience to connect theories to the practice.

Participants will include researchers from the Government’s research institutes, employers and workers’ representatives, university lecturers, PhD candidates, industrial relations practitioners and those aspiring to become researchers in this field.

The course instructors will be Professor Gregor Murray from University of Montreal and Dr Do Quynh Chi, an experienced researcher in labour-related issues.

The best participant of Viet Nam’s first Industrial Relations Summer School will be eligible to join the 18th International Labour and Employment Relations Association (ILERA) World Congress from 23 to 27 July 2018 in Seoul, South Korea.

Applications, including a Curriculum Vitae, a motivation letter and answers to a survey form, should be submitted to the ILO (my@ilo.org) no later than 30 June 2017.
