  1. Kazakhstan: Parliamentary Hearings on Labour Market and Youth Employment

    On 28 September the Kazakhstan’s Parliament held hearings, titled “Problems and prospects of development of the employment sphere,” on 28th September. The participants discussed the current state of the labour market, employment, and formalization of self-employed population in Kazakhstan as well as methods to further develop employment of the country in the current context.

  2. Promoting decent work for young people through Regional Pacts and partnerships within and across the Regions of the Russian Federation

    On 16 August, the ILO Moscow Office held a meeting to coordinate the implementation of the youth employment priorities of a number of Regions of the Russian Federation. This work is supported by the project “Partnerships for Youth Employment in the CIS”, a landmark public-private partnership between ILO and Lukoil.

    TURIN (ILO News) - On 13-16 February, a sub-regional kick-off conference for the second phase of the ILO Project “Partnerships for Youth Employment in the CIS" was held. The second phase will be implemented in 2018-2022 by ILO Moscow with financial support of the Russian company LUKOIL.

  7. “Start and Improve Your Business” Training of Trainers Held in Nalchik

    A training of trainers under the International Labour Organization (ILO) programme “Start and Improve Your Business” was held on 4-9 December 2017 in Nalchik, the capital of Kabardino-Balkaria, Russian Federation. Experts from the state institutions and non-government organizations of Kabardino-Balkaria and North Ossetia dealing with vocational education and entrepreneurship and employment support took part in the training. It was sponsored by the ILO project “Youth Employment Partnerships in the Commonwealth of Independent States”.

  8. ILO Project Helps Disadvantaged Young People Enter the Labour Market

    The ILO supports the Agency for Employment of the Perm Territory, Russian Federation, in improving its package of programmes and services to the population. For that purpose, the ILO pilots wage subsidy programme with mentorship targeting disadvantaged young people.

  9. Entrepreneurship Programme Launched in Kalmykia, Russian Federation

    The ILO supports the Ministry of Social Development, Labour and Employment of the Republic of Kalmykia in building capacities of its staff all over the Republic to deliver entrepreneurship training to the job seekers in all the employment centers across Kalmykia. For that purpose, the ILO implements its «Start and Improve Your Business» (SIYB) programme, the largest entrepreneurship-training programme of its kind; present in more than 100 countries around the world and having generated more than 9 million jobs.

  10. Baku Hosts Second Training Course on Strengthening Public Employment Service
